Extensive experience in operations management, subsea engineering, field engineering and offshore supervisor for offshore oil and gas operations- worldwide. This was performed for major international oil companies on ultra-deepwater drilling vessels.

About Stephen

Stephen Doran is the new principal partner of Substructure. Stephen started his career serving as a Riflemen for the United States Marine Corps and was deployed to multiple locations overseas including Al-Anbar Providence, Iraq. After his experience in the Marines, he decided to utilize his GI Bill and achieved a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University Of New Hampshire. Having a desire for a dynamic life style, he started his adventures career working offshore on subsea technologies for Ultra-Deepwater drilling vessels. During this time, he has undertaken numerous roles ranging from Field Engineer to Offshore Supervisor and Operations Manager. He has spent majority of his time performing these duties in international locations Including Norway, Azerbaijan, and Canada.

Bringing along years of offshore and management experience in the marine industry, Stephen has now decided to take the next step and join Tom Reis as an active partner in Substructure. In his off time, Stephen loves to spend time with his family in their home town of Newburyport, MA, and continuously exploring the beauty of New England.
